Meet The Executive Team

Karen Lazar, President

Karen is the co-founder and majority owner of Cambridge Cleaning and Maintenance. Karen also serves as the company’s Director of Marketing.

Karen has extensive experience in the real estate industry, including more than 10 years at Cambridge Management and Realty, a family-owned residential management company, giving her a unique understanding of this market.

Karen is a graduate of The George Washington University, and earned a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. As the Director of Physical Therapy for a private practice, she was responsible for clinical work as well as promoting the practice. An excellent communicator with a flair for marketing and natural aptitude for leadership, this was the beginning of a very successful career in business.

In addition to her leadership roles at Cambridge Cleaning and Maintenance, Karen is also the Vice President and Director of Marketing of Cambridge Security Services, a nationwide security officers firm, with offices in Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia.


Marco Lopez, Senior Vice President

Mr. Lopez is a graduate of Western Governor’s University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and he also holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

With over 25 years of experience in property management, general building maintenance and loss prevention, Mr. Lopez was instrumental in the founding of Cambridge Cleaning and Maintenance, and cultivating the company to become an industry leader. Mr. Lopez has also held management and directorship positions in major residential and commercial property management firms, in the states of Florida and Nevada.


Alexander Leon, Vice President / Director of Business Development

Mr. Leon joined Cambridge Cleaning and Maintenance as Vice President/Director of Business Development in 2014. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and for developing new business.

A former Operations Specialist in the United States Navy, Mr. Leon has been in the Building Services industry since 1993. After serving nine years with the Hollywood, Florida cleaning firm, Sunbelt Janitorial Systems, Mr. Leon joined the Delta Management Systems for ten years, gaining further experience in the building services industry. With over 22 years in the field, Mr. Leon has assembled and managed various janitorial programs for more than 10,000,000 sq. ft. of property, including offices, schools and institutions, auto dealerships, medical facilities, and industrial companies.

Mr. Leon spent seven years as a lead member of Building Owners & Managers Association of South Florida (BOMA), including participating as a judge in the Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, through which he enhanced his expertise in understanding the operations and specific needs of high-end commercial buildings.

Frank Echevarria, Director of Operations

Mr. Echevarria joined Cambridge Cleaning and Maintenance in 2014 after a 20 year career in the janitorial and maintenance field, including more than 11 years working alongside our Vice President, during which time he specialized in floor care. As Director of Operations, Mr. Echevarria oversees all aspects of team management, talent acquisition, scheduling, and day-to-day operations. He is OSHA certified. Mr. Echevarria works closely with property managers to ensure that our staff exceeds expectations.
